3D reconstruction’s theory began in the field of computer vision. As thedevelopment of computer technology and visual theory, more and more researchers joinin. This paper mainly studies the3D reconstruction based on image sequence. It’s abranch of the study of3D reconstruction.3D reconstruction can be simply considered asfollowing. Firstly obtaining the3D information from image, finally through the certaintechnology, get the3D information. Although the technology’s accuracy is not high, andthe technology is difficult, it has many advantages, like research and development costis not high, environmental requirements is not high, the software apply is convenience.So It have certain practical applications for virtual reality, NDT, intelligent robot andgeographic three-dimensional information measurement. There are many branches in3D reconstruction, this article study the branch by image sequence. The main work andresearch result in the study are as follows:1. During the study period, reading literature about3D reconstruction and about3D reconstruction based on image sequences. One part is domestic and a part is abroad.As this basis and summarize, discussing status at home and abroad in the study of3Dreconstruction.2. Introduced the related basic knowledge about3D reconstruction based on imagesequence, including the stereoscopic vision, the disparity map and depth map, imagecoordinate system, camera coordinate system, world camera coordinate system, somebasic knowledge about calibration.3. Based on the studying of the popular method of detection, proposed an improveddetection algorithm based on curvature of the corner. In this method, as considering themethod using curvature of the corner meanwhile consider variant of the around pointswhich is on the edge that detected by Canny algorithm. Finally, found the steady points.4. Based on the studying of the popular method of reconstruction, design andimplement an improved method of least squares3D reconstruction algorithm. In thismethod, as considers using the method of least squares reconstruct3D scene meanwhileconsider using the information of the similarity of matching. Finally get a more reliable3D data.5. Preliminary design3D reconstruction based on image sequence system. Analyzethe workflow and module functions of the whole system, and design a3Dreconstruction based on image sequence system, then, through experiments to verify the feasibility and correctness of this method.
