As a new mode of imaging SAR system,bistatic SAR which separates transmittingand receiving stations has many obvious advantages compared with traditionalmonostatic SAR, such as enhancing anti-jamming capability and Anti-interceptioncapability of system, improving concealment and system survival ability, obtainingmore object’s non-backscattering feature.It has more widely application prospects inmilitary and civilian field.In this thesis, imaging performance and resolutioncharacteristics of general bistatic SAR are researched,and bistatic SAR experiment datais processed and analysised.The main contents are demonstrated as follows:1.Introduce the fundamental theory and imaging algorithm of bistatic SAR system.First the general geometric model of BiSAR is established and characteristics of echoare researched, slant range history and doppler Property are discussed in detail. Dopplerparameter characteristics analyses for BiSAR with two types of flight configuration isprovided. Second introduce RD image algorithm and BP image algorithm.2.Analysis the imaging performance of general bistatic SAR.First according toanalysis beam property in general configuration,Beam effective coincide time and swatharea of different modes are compared by simulation,based on these studies,the pointtargets is imaged through the BP algorithms.and analysis the imging result.3.The detailed analysis of bistatic SAR spatial resolution characteristicsis iscarried out. Based on the ambiguity function theory,range and azimuth resolutionformule are derived.Owing to biSAR system’s space-variant feature,bistatic SAR’sresolution is varying along with the change of azimuth time, the assumption of bisarspace invariant system is presented.under this assumption, the change trend of theresolution in the imaging scene is researched.4.According to several specific flight configuration, detailed analysis of geometricparameters of bisar system is proposed. Establishing the relationship betweenresolution’s change and geometric parameters. These geometric parameters include:Flight angle of platforms, The squint angle of receiver, The ratio of velocity, etc.5.Experimental programme of bistatic SAR system research is presented. The specific method steps of imaging experiments are proposed.according to PRF walkcaused by time asynchronized, this paper present the correlation method to solve thisquestion.6.Research on vehicle bistatic SAR experimental data. Based on the method ofstrong point tracking compensation, the Raw data of vehicle biSAR experiments isprocessed, imaging result shows the feasibility of the experiment system.
