Internet was born in the traditional telephone network, communication exchangecan be said of the Internet natural one. Internet is now the world’s largest computerInternet, it spread globally, of all sizes around the world connect to the network as awhole. In recent years, computer technology is developing rapidly, in particular thedevelopment of computer networks, increasingly profound changes in all aspects ofpeople’s lives. People can make a more low prices, which has developed moreconvenient and practical tool for the network. Various online services, more profoundeffect on people’s contacts, People can make the distance separated by thousands ofmiles of communications at any time. Past all the old links, can no longer meet theneeds of modern life. Therefore, in the foreseeable future can be immediate and rapidtransmission of information and communication network for data exchange to becomemainstream The issue here will start research.In this thesis, using the class and interface of Java.net packets and Java.soundpacket, In NT4.0network (TCP/IP) using JDK1.5. SQL Server database, developed aninstant voice communications software "ITalk." The software is divided into two partsof client and server, the client has a general communications software functions,including: group chat function, point-to-point text chat function, instant voicecommunications function. The server provide new user account registration function,and the user account name login and password verification function. The software isimmediately prominent voice communications, when point-to-point communicationlink, it is able to completely shake off dependence on remote server, avoid waste ofnetwork’s resources caused of linking to remote server excessive.
