Remote sensing image database is mainly used remote sensing image data storageand management capabilities, is a core component of spatial database, charged withhandling the important function of remote sensing data. However, the existing softwareto deal with these remote sensing data have many shortcomings of the city, especially indata storage management, and use of remote sensing data for these to improveefficiency in the use of image data to build a fully functional remote sensing imagedatabase is a to things.This thesis on how to build a perfect mass remote sensing image database to doin-depth discussion, the main contents include the following sections:First introduced the objectives and characteristics of the system construction, andthe current research status are described, explained the background and significance ofthe problem, and then present an image databank principle, the relevant analysistechniques are discussed, with emphasis introduces the concept of remote sensingimages, features, and image pyramid storage technology, but also an overview of systemdevelopment used by the key technologies, such as Struts framework, Tomcat server,and so on.Then the image database system requirements are analyzed, specifically includingdata management applications, such as data storage, organization, management, query,maintenance, and statistical and other needs, in addition to the database data typessupported by the demand made analysis, including the type of data format, data spatialreference coordinate system and other aspects, the final performance of the systemefficiency has also done a needs analysis.Finally, the system design and implementation section describes the generalframework of the system and key technologies, and the system is an important modulefocuses were introduced, explains the function of each module, processes, and key codeand the specific realization content. Finally, the complete system test to verify thesystem stability and practicality.Based on the latest Oracle Database spatial data support technology, using a method based on metadata is stored, the establishment of massive remote sensing imagedatabase, support massive data access, ease of data query, maintenance mode, providesa variety of data formats and a variety of spatial reference coordinate system. Thissystem is mainly to establish a remote sensing image database systems, to achieve themassive remote sensing image data storage, management and maintenance. In the datastorage using relational database Oracle. In the solution, using the B/S architecture, themain modules gives the realization method and key procedures, software fromrequirements analysis to software design using object-oriented design ideas, using UMLUnified Modeling Language, in MS Visio2003as a modeling tool, the mainprogramming language is java. The system is scalable and stability and otheradvantages, thus greatly improving production efficiency and management level.
