Nowadays, the network-on-chip (NoC), as an enabling technology for integration oflarge numbers of embedded cores on a single die to meet the chanllenge of integratinglarge-scale of predesigned cores in the near future, is becoming more and more popularcompared with traditional systems-on-chip (SoC).However, a NoC with planar metalinterconnects uses long multi-hop links in data exchange, leading to significantgy highlatency and much power consumption.Therefore, inserting broad-bandwidth single-hoplong-range wireless links in NoC systems and designing wireless NoC system withon-chip antennas, suitable transceivers and routers, could solve this problem.According to the basic information of wireless NoC, this thesis focuses on themapping problem of wireless NoC. At first, the analysis models for different kind ofapplications are described. Then we try to combine mapping with network coding (NC).Thus, we can use of NC to improve the throuput for multicast transportation on wirelessNoC. An effective wireless NoC mapping algorithm, based on network coding, isproposed in this thesis, and optimization objective, constraints for the genetic algorithmmodel are also established.In the case studies, we take MIMO/OFDM receiver of wireless transmissionsystems as an example to show the performance of the proposed algorithm. Accordingto the simulation results, we find that NC based NoC can improve the systemperformance significantly. At the same time, simulation results also show algorithm’sadaptivity, effectivity and robustness.The method proposed in this thesis, as an attempt to combine NC with wirelessNoC, introduces the bridge between two fileds and is heuristic for the futureresearches.
