Design And Implementation Of Text And Content Based Image Search Engine

With the rapid development of the Internet, people’s lives changed significantly.More and more people now use the Internet to communicate with others and exchangeinformation. It makes us get into the information age. The search engine can providepeople with a fast and efficient to retrieval information and greatly improve theefficiency of using the Internet. However, the majority of the search engines aretext-based search engines, which can’t be used to search multimedia information,especially the image information. Image search engine can help users to quickly searchthe image information.This thesis aims to build a system of image search engine. The system will be acombination of text-based and content-based search engine to take full advantage of thecharacteristics of the two techniques, the two technologies complement each other tofurther improve the efficiency of the search found the image to ensure that the precisionof search engines.This paper analyzed the background and the development of the search engine,summarized the characteristics and trends of image search engine technology. In thisarticle we described the workflow of Image search engine system in detail. This articledesign the system from various aspects of overall, such as, the specific function module,database, error handling. Finally, carry out the detailed design and implementation ofthe system and test it with different browsers on different operating systems. Afterrepeated testing and modification, the final results show that the system is runningstably and can achieve the goals.
