With the fast development of computer science and internet technology, theworking mode of radiotherapy department in traditional hospitals faces great challenges.According to the actual demand of the operational process in the department ofradiotherapy, this research project succeeds in developing the information system ofoperation and management at the early stage of radiotherapy.QT Creator and PostgreSQL are used to design the foreground application programand the back-end database of the system. This system enables the management andoperation of the database, CT simulation by the doctors in the process of radiotherapy,management of reservation by patients receiving linear accelerator treatment, themanagement of the registration of patients’ CT scanning information and theircorresponding plan applications, designs, confirmations and printings. Tediousdocument-based processes are avoided while information management and paperlessoffice can be achieved, the working efficiency of radiotherapy department being greatlyimproved.The development mainly includes the establishment and maintenance of the frontend application procedure as well as the back-end database. The former requirescharacteristics like integrated functions and beautiful interface, the latter requires theestablishment of the database with data consistence, integrity and safety. I strictly followthe steps of demand analysis, system design, programming implementation andoperation testing. In terms of interface development, I adopt QT Creator to create abeautiful interface suitable for human-computer interaction which includes interfaces ofscanning data management, planning management, setting and so on. This managementsoftware uses C/S mode, adopting module QDatabase to connect PostgreSQL database,to achieve data transmission to the database through SQL and information display onuser interface through various components such as QTableView and QComboBox.PgAdmin III is used to define the database and login role/user, to control permission andmanual/automatic backup of the database system and ensure database safety. This paperfocuses on the design and development of the information system of operation and management at the early stage of radiotherapy based on the actual demand inradiotherapy department. It introduces in detail the demand analysis, designing ideas,application of related technology and the design of other modules. It predicts the futureresearch orientation as well. The system improves the working efficiency at the earlystage of radiotherapy and raises the social image of the hospital.
