As the main platform of space target surveillance and defense large phased-arrayradar has an irreplaceable role as security frontier sentries and guardians. But in themodern war, The extensive use of Electronic Warfare device seriously interfere ordestroy the normal work of the radar. It is not hard to find that the party which has thestronger ability of Electronic Countermeasure always holds an enormous advantage ina few modern wars, more easily grasp the battlefield initiative. So it is imperative toenhance the performance of the RF stealth of radar. The large phased array which hasthe large transmission power and high spatial gain is easier to be reconnaissance andattacked by the Electronic Warfare equipment. In order to improve radar synthesisoperational performance, MIMO technique which is applied to large phased arraybecome very worthy of study, which makes phased array have a high distance, angularand velocity resolution, the stronger anti-interference ability and the RF stealthcapabilityAs a kind of new radar system, MIMO radar is positioned as LPI radar at the startof the design. For orthogonal waveform characteristics of MIMO radar, it allows theenergy of the radar radiated in space more scattered and reduced the intercept distance,MIMO radar also can design the more complex orthogonal waveforms, whichincreases difficulties for the separation and identification.This thesis chooses the large phased-array radar as the research objects, it focuson sub-array partition, beamforming, anti-interception of signals and anti-identificationtechnology application etc. The main research of this thesis is about the interceptprobability model and the anti-identification performance of the mixed orthogonalsignals, the main research content includes the following several aspects:1. Detailed introduces the basic concepts of the RF stealth and the basic strategiesof the RF stealth. And the basic principle of MIMO radar is introduced in detail, andthe RF stealth characteristics of MIMO radar is studied based on the intercept factor.2. From the point of the whole radar system, the layout of array, the sub-arraypartition of large phased array and beam-forming technology is studied. And a sub-array echo signal model of MIMO radar and the framework of signal processingare established.3. Objectively expounds on the reconnaissance-deception jamming environmentof the large phased array. The reconnaissance-radar jamming equipment is studied,which contain the factors of spatial/time/frequency and pulse power loss situation. Amodel of intercept probability for MIMO radar is proposed, and then on the basis ofthis model, the anti-intercepted performance of MIMO and phased array is compared.4. The thesis introduced the waveform of orthogonal LFM-phase coding which issuitable for the MIMO radar, its characteristics of Correlation function and theAmbiguity function are deduced, and the classical phase code analysis technologywhich called cycle spectral principle is studied, and the realization methods of cyclespectral principle are introduced. And the anti-identify performance is deduced for theMIMO radar and phased array technology on the basis of cycle spectral, it is verifiedby the simulation results of cycle spectral in MIMO radar and phased array.
