The satellite communication system has been widely used in national security,emergency rescue and personal mobile communication. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellitecommunication system has been widespread concern due to the advantages of its globalcoverage, low propagation delay and low power consumption. It is the focus of thecommunication sector.The low-orbit satellites use the multi-beam antenna in order to improve the frequencyresource. The satellite’s movement characteristics determine the user which communicateswith the satellite will occur frequently handover between the beams, in order to protect theuser’s handover performance, taking into account the new call capability, proposed areasonable channel allocation scheme in order to improve the quality of service and be goodfor using the satellite resources has become critical.This thesis first summarizes the existing low-orbit satellite handover technology channelallocation scheme, analysis the model of LEO satellite user handover and the parameters ofsystem performance. The new algorithm proposed which bases the satellite motioncharacteristics to accroach the reserved channels for handover. Proposed half-rate channelhandover allocation strategy for multimedia services traffic intensity. The main innovation ofthis thesis work and research results are summarized as follows:The main innovation and research results are summarized as follows:(1)The thesis focuses on the reserved channels classic channel allocation scheme, andusurped the reserved channels based on the relative positional relationship between the useron the basis of proposed algorithm.New algorithm according to the relative distance thresholdto determine whether the seizure of the reserved channels when the public channels are used,simulation results table, the new algorithm to reduce the new call blocking probability,channel utilization, better protectionoverall system performance.(2) Multimedia services in different performance requirements, establish under themulti-service communication channel allocation model to ensure high service level ofswitching performance, and the large volume of business strength of the part of the full-rateletter Road open for half-rate channel, greatly improve the system accessthe ability of the newcall.
