The pressure pipeline is used more and more extensively with the rapid developing of industry, and it has a lot of use in the petrochemical industry, aerospace industry, steel, power source, environment protection and other industry. With the increase in the amount of pipeline use, the pipeline’s safety received more and more attention, especially in the industry with high temperature and high pressure environment. The currently monitoring system at home and abroad is not suitable in this situation, and it is needed to design a new one.The FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensing technology and Virtual Instrument technology has a rapid development in recent years. In this thesis, the high-temperature creep and corrosion were researched as the main form of pipeline damage, and through the analyzing the characters of the high-temperature creep, a monitoring system of high temperature and pressure pipeline based Lab VIEW was developed.The monitoring system is made up of the FBG strain sensors, the FBG demodulator, Lab VIEW software and GSM module. Detect the surface strain of the object by the FBG sensors, and then acquire the data into the PC through the Lab VIEW system.The computer software in this thesis was designed based on Lab VIEW, mainly consists of login system, data acquisition, data processing and warning system. Login system have a classifying of permission, the ordinary users can only login in the monitoring system, and the administer users can also manage the user’s information. The way of data acquisition is through the instrument connecting, and Lab VIEW system can acquire data from the instrument directly. Data processing includes optimization process of data, data storage and query, monitoring report and others, Data’s optimization process can decrease the volatility of the data, make it easy to observer; Data storage through using the database management tool and SQL language in Lab VIEW realized the function; Monitoring report is a summary report about the monitoring task. Warning system includes the functions of threshold processing, alarm-reporting system and SMS system. When the system detected the overflow data information, it would trigger the alarm-reporting system working and the SMS system sending warning message.A strain experiment based on cantilever was designed in this thesis to reflect the pipeline strain. Place the FBG sensor on the cantilever, and then the cantilever was made strain by applying the weights. The monitoring system’s functions were been tested working well.
