Heat pipe widely used in chemical industry and power sector which affectnational economy and people’s normal life. Once the heat pipe tong pipe explosionaccidents happen, it will not only cause huge economic loss,but also threaten people’ssecurity. so it can make warnings to the pipeline pipe explosion to study its stressdistribution and real-time monitor its strain condition,and remind enterprise changeheat pipes in time,it also has very important meaning to ensure the safe operation ofpipeline.In this paper, based on model of high temperature pipng stress and strain, it makesthe stress distribution and strain condition analysis of high temperature pipng typicalparts of running by the finite element method.The analysis shows that pipelineequivalent stress level in tee position obviously higher than direct position,whichposition cause the strain accumulation easily; In the mainstream pipe tee position,axial stress level is significantly greater than other direction, and should be measuredas a major diametral strain measurement quantity in sensor encapsulation design.Based on the analysis above, the Long Period Fiber Grating is used to test thepiping strain condition because of its sensing properties and heat resistancecharacteristics, and put forward the design of sensing system and detector. It isconcluded that Long period fiber grating measuring heat pipe strain can be realized.
