The analysis of modulated signal in the communication countermeasure is a keytechnology. The requirement is to identify the digital modulation types and theparameters related to the signal in the complex environment with the disturb of thenoise so that we can do further analysis and process the signal.Symbol rate is one of themost important parameters This thesis discusses the methods of symbol rate estimationof the common modulated signals.The method in this thesis differs from that in the previous time because it is suitablenot only for the square wave signals,but also for the signals which are through formingfilters.The method is first based on the analysis of the whole signal from the windowfunction, followed by the extraction of the frequency spectrum of the single-polaritypulse, then we can get the result. For the MFSK signal, the method of analysis offrequency spectrum in the gate door is adopted. For the MASK signal, the method ofaccumulation of power in the gate door is adopted. For the MPSK signal, the method ofthe convolution with the cosine function is adopted. For the MQAM signal, the methodis from the combination of the MASK signal and the MPSK signal.The simulationshows when the ration between frequency and symbol rate is high, the method thispaper advocates can get the symbol rate clearly.
