Continuous Phase Modulation (Continuous Phase Modulation, CPM) is a power and spectrum efficient modulation. When CPM system is used in broadband wireless transmission, Time domain detection caused by serious inter-symbol interference is very complex. Single carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) can overcome the serious inter-symbol interference, at the same time lower the complexity. The combination of the CPM and SC-FDE. not only can provide a low-complexity frequency domain anti-multipath interference program, and be able to give full play to the CPM constant envelope, efficient spectrum characteristics.At the start of the article, We have completed the analysis of the basic concept of the wireless channel and CPM modulation. And focus on the SC-FDE and OFDM in wireless communication. On the basis of the previous theoretical studies, We focused on the key issues of the CPM combined with SC-FDE, Firstly, We used the phase-zeroing method to ensure phase continuity of the CPM signal after adding cyclic prefix; Secondly, We study two discrete linear decomposition of CPM signals Gram-Schmidt orthogonal decomposition, Laurent decomposition, and apply frequency domain equalization for decomposition of CPM signals, Then begin with channel state information known at the receiving end, taking COST207channel model into account. We give the performance simulation of both decomposition scheme; Thirdly, We give the performance comparison between not decomposition CPM signal and above two decomposition scheme. Simulation results showed that, CPM signal combining with SC-FDE can be a good way of fighting against multipath interference. At the end of the article, Adding channel coding techniques, We maked performance curve SCCPM system combining with SC-FDE. Comparing with the uncoded system, frequency domain equalization for SCCPM system can achieve higher performance gain.
