Display technology plays a very important role in modern human society life,and with the development of digital technology,2-D display technology has madevery high achievement in recent years. As3-D films, such as avatar, accepted widelyby the audience, the3-D display has become one of the new trends of the displaytechnology, and it is one of hot issues in the field of displaying. The stereo displaytechnologies, such as3-D movie and3-D TV, have achieved preliminary success incommercial application.However, the inadequacies in the current stereoscopic display system available inthe market are prominent; for example, most of them can not achieve stereoscopicdisplay without special glasses or in a large area. To solve these problems, the goal ofthis thesis is to put forwards a method of three-dimensional display, which can beobserved with3-D visual effect without any aids in large-scale. Besides, this methodis simple, less costly, and suitable for mass production.The holography is one of the display methods which can achieve real “3-D”display, but the production and reproduction conditions of the conventional hologramare demanding. Combining the digital technology and holography, synthetic hologramcan expand the scope of the holographic recording, and make the holographicrecording digitized. Making use of the principle of holography and synthetichologram, the projection screen, which has high transparency, high scattering rate andthe characteristics of the directional projection, could achieve the purpose ofhigh-quality synthetic stereoscopic display without wearing glasses.On the basis of referring many domestic and foreign technologies and theprinciple of synthesis hologram, the method can be used to make a synthesisholographic Stereoscopic projection screen with digital synthesis holographic system,which is developed by optical information processing laboratory in Ocean Universityof China. The synthesis holographic Stereoscopic projection screen can project the desired projection image to the observers by directional diffraction, eliminatinginterference of ambient light. Designing a experiment with the projectors. the thesisproved the projection screen can achieve the purpose of the three-dimensionalprojection by providing the observers with different images about the object from thedifferent angles. It mainly consists of three steps:1, design and calculation parametersof the system;2.edit MATLAB program and generate the images;3,computer-controlled the automated laser holographic shooting process.The main content of this paper: the first part introduces the basic principle andthe development process of the three-dimensional display and synthetic holography,and the main problems appearing in the current application. The second partintroduces the main principle of the experiment, including the basic principle ofconventional holography and the principle of synthetic holography, and describes thedetailed design program of the production of synthetic holographic three-dimensionalprojection screen in accordance with the principles of binocular disparity and digitalproduction of synthetic hologram. The third part, by an experiment, describes themethod of the three-dimensional holographic projection screen production’sproduction in detail. The fourth part analyses the experimental results obtaining thefield of view, perspective, distortion, and summarizes the advantages anddisadvantages of the method, and discusses the next stage work prospect.
