White LED (light-emitting diode, LED) is one of the most promising high-tech21stcentury. Heat because of its small size, low power consumption, long life, environmentalprotection, etc. Are widely used in general illumination, backlighting and other fields.Form of white LED many of which produce white light in combination with a yellowphosphor to blue chip most common form, low conversion efficiency phosphor inherent,the short life light fades large, heat and poor impact performance white LED. Of Ce: YAGsingle crystal fluorescent material to replace the current commercial phosphor preparedwhite LED can improve the performance of white LED, however, there are still a lack ofred light-emitting components.In this paper, the Ce:YAG doped Tb method to improve white LED luminous performance. By means of the optical properties of the crystals were studied by X-ray powderdiffraction, absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, light color and electrical propertiesof test. The results are as follows.1. By Ce, Tb doping concentration increasing, crystal growth Czochralski method andCe Ce and Tb doped with different concentrations of Ce: YAG crystal, Ce, Tb co-doped YAG crystal began to crack and the chaos crystal phenomenon, while the low-concentration doped crystal has not the above conditions.2. Crystalline powder XRD analysis analysis learned Growth of Ce; YAG crystal, Ce,Tb-doped cubic structure and different concentrations of theYAG crystal are unidirectional,as the pure YAG structural, no other impurity phase.3. Ce and Ce, Tb codoped with different concentrations of the YAG crystal at460nmhave a relatively strong absorption, able to match with the blue light chip. FluorescenceSpectra known: excitation of the blue460nm around, of Ce: YAG crystal and Ce, Tb isthe doping concentration is low (0.03,0.01) luminescence center wavelength of about530nm, the concentration increases, the light-emitting center543nm nearby, so that emissionspectra redshift, to some extent, enhance the optical properties of the white LED.4. Ce, Tb doping concentration is low (x=0.06, y=0.04) crystal slice assembledwhite LED photoelectric properties as well as Pink and AB glue for white LED photoelectric parameters: as the drive current increases, thickness slice assembled white LED lightefficiency decreases, correlated color temperature decreases, the color rendering indexchanged little. Pink doping can reduce the color temperature to increase the red lightcomponent, help to improve white LED color rendering performance, pink added,however, the white LED transmittance decreased luminous efficiency with lower addedAB glue after increasing the transmittance of a single-chip, light efficiency improvedsignificantly.
