With the rapid development of Earth observation technologies,remote sensing images have been widely used in various fields related to earth space science,and the means to obtain remote sensing image data has becoming more diverse.A series of earth observation satellites and aerial photography produced large amounts of image data per year. And with the history data,the total image data which is accumulated by application departments and research institutions has showed a rapid growth trend. How to store,manage and fully share these vast amounts of image data is a problem worthy to study.The traditional image storage and management method has many disadvantages,such as small storage capacity, low efficiency of sharing and high cost.The development of distributed technology has brought new opportunities for remote sensing image storage and management.For large-scale remote sensing image data storage and management demand,We combined Hadoop distributed systems and LAMP technology to explore this issue,and proposed a new solution.The main content of this research shows as fllows:Firstly,we proposed a technology solution for the storage and management of remote sensing images based on hadoop.With the analysis of Hadoop distributed system architecture,we chose HDFS as the underlying storage system for remote sensing images. According to the features of the HDFS file system,we combined LAMP framework to improve the solution,and proposed the strategies of image storage,organization and management.Secondly,we designed a hadoop-based remote sensing image storage and management system.After the analysis of user behavior and functional requirements,the system architecture has been emerged. And then we introduced the design of the database and the main function module class library for the system.Thirdly,We implemented the hadoop-based remote sensing image storage and management system.In this part,we introduced the system platform and environment,the main function module,and how to achieve them.Finally, we conducted a summary and outlook of the research. We have achieved a basic feasible image storage and management system,and reached the goals.This study may provide some useful reference for large-scale remote sensing image data storage, management and sharing.
