The Triple Helix is a spiral linear innovation model, which means university s industryã€government-these three partners keep in close cooperation and interaction in the process of innovation, and at the same time, each partner keeps on its own independent identity. In this paper, the triple helix model is the national university-industry-government cooperative system. It provids impetuses for the national innovation system, and is an important part of the research and innovation system. The theoretical basis for this study is the Shannon information entropy theory and Leydesdorff’s triple helix algorithm, the object of study is the papers in the Web of Science data base. Research emphasize on two aspects. One is the calculation and analysis of the indicators of the triple helix algorithm at the country level, and its dynamic evolution. The other is the scientometrics analysis of the triple helix model of university-industry-government cooperation network in the level of disciplines and journals. The main results include:Triple Helix algorithm is a valid indicator to measure countries’Triple Helix model, it reflects the maturity of the domestic research system. The world countries are divided into traditional research countries which have most globally oriented science system and new research countries which have more internationally oriented science system. The Triple Helix model of countries in the four decades from1971to2010shows eight evolutional model. Most of the national research systems benefit from the Triple Helix model. In the level of discipline, most subjects’University-Industry-Government research cooperation network are not mature, but it appears similar network structures in a couple of subjects. The impact factor of the journals and the average degree centrality in the University-Industry-Government cooperation network have a strong correlation. The innovation of this paper is that it improve the original triple helix algorithm’s search strategy, and confirm search query, and improve the processing of the source data. The triple helix model and the social network are associated for the first time, and is applied for the analysis in the discipline and journal level. It provids a new perspective for the quantitative study of scientific and technological innovation. |
