As a nondestructive detection technology, the displacement detecting technologyof eddy current is developing rapidly in recent years. Eddy current is widely applied formetal material or work pieces monitoring, measurement and evaluation based on theprinciple of electromagnetic induction in the engineering field. However, the existingmethods are greatly limited to the electromagnetic properties. Different metal materialof the work pieces in the same geometrical shape and the same working environment,due to the differences in the electromagnetic properties, the detecting results varywidely. For this reason, it is also doing a lot of research to solve these problems, but theeffects are not ideal. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the existing eddy currentdisplacement detecting methods in flexibility poor, poor detection accuracy, complexcircuit system, this thesis presents an adaptive eddy current displacement detectingmethod. The eddy current displacement detecting system based on the adaptive methodcan automatically identify the electromagnetic properties of the material being detected.And it can re-select the parameters to calibrate the detecting system in order to bettermatch the calibration parameters with the electromagnetic properties of the material.The main research contents are as follows.(1) The research of adaptive eddy current displacement detecting methodAnalyzing the principles and implementations of existing detecting methods,summarizing their shortcomings, this thesis presents the new method. It canautomatically identify the electromagnetic properties of the material being detected. Thethesis will do a detailed study of this method.(2) The circuit design of eddy current displacement detecting systemThe modular design of hardware circuit and program is used to implement the newmethod. The data processing methods will be achieved. The detecting system will bedesigned by analog-digital circuit. A microcontroller as the core of the detecting system,completes the tasks of signal transmission, controlling and data processing.(3) Prototype testing and results analyzingTesting the detecting system, the methods and procedures are described in detail. The thesis will analyze the test results and obtains performance indicators.(4) The research of performance tuning methodology for the detecting systemThe thesis will analyze the interference factors affecting the performance of thedetection system and optimize the detecting system performance in circuit design andanti-jamming design.The eddy current displacement detecting system based on the new methodeliminates the impact of the material electromagnetic properties, improve the accuracy,broaden the scope in engineering applications and enhanced the flexibility ofapplication.
