Free stereoscopic display terminal (3D glasses-free) is approved by NationalDevelopment and Reform Commission as the applications of next-generation InternetOf Ipv6Industrial Project, It is a special863project: New Display Technology AndSystem Integration. however, lack of videos, immature techniques in capturing videosand expensive cost in3D glasses-free restrict the development of it. So converting theexisted videos to glasses-free videos, improving the robustness of the algorithms oftraditional image segmentation which was considered as a condition illness problem byputting it in stereo vision and making the performance of the present algorithms ofstereo matching and occlusion filling satisfy the criteria of commerce standards, All ofthese bring a lot of opportunities and challenges to us about the technique of3Dglass-free video conversion.Aiming at the background above, the theory and application of computer stereovision based on multi-view geometry theory will be as my research subject in thismaster’s degree dissertation.the algorithms of making content of3D glasses-free willbe as the key part in this dissertation.It consists of the theory and implementation ofalogirthms for2D to3D conversion, two views to multi-views conversion and partialtheory for3D reconstruction based on multi-views.The main contents are listed as follows:1. Semi-auto2D to3D conversion of videos.Render two views of stereo videos byDIBR in which the depth map was sketched manually.2. Fill the hole in virtual views.preprocessing the depth map by Gaussian filter toeliminate the sharp edge for the sake of smoothness.and then downsample the virtualviews and filter the downsampling views again to eliminate the small hole.atlast,upsample them to yield acceptable virtual views.3. Binocular views to multi-views.Get the depth map by stereo match withalgorithm of belief propagation, and then render the virtual views with DIBR.The main contributions of this thesis are listed as follows:We investigate full-automatic3D glass-free video conversion.For the reason of that Researchers only tackle some special issues in this area in academia. We mergemany algorithms of computer vision to reform a better robust algorithm for3Dglass-free video conversion and make the video product meet commercial standards.
