Sensor technology, computer technology and network technology not only havea huge impact on the traditional way of people, but also have brought about aprofound impact on industry technology and development. Especially, with theemerging of fiber-optic sensing technology, it brings great convenience forconstructing a sensor network due to its excellent capability of networking and largecapacity in sensor numbers. Fiber-optic sensor system could be divided intodistributed, quasi-distributed, point systems. Distributed or quasi-distributed sensingsystem, using optic-fiber as the sensing medium, could achieve real-time remotemonitoring of the target along it. This system not only can achieve a continuoushigh-precision positioning sensor, but also can achieve long-distance, large rangemonitoring, which can be used for security alarm, bridges, dams, mining monitoring,pipeline monitoring, monitoring of vehicles and machinery operation and monitoringof earthquakes and floods. Fiber optic point sensor system also has been widelyused in strain monitoring of large civil engineering structures due to its high accuracywhatever in position and measurand.The subject of this program is to study on how to realize fusing and transmittingsensing data of distributed and point sensor system in LAN, WAN, wirelesscommunication network which is based on LabVIEW. Here, distributed optical fibertemperature system and Fabry-Perot sensor system are examples for investigating onhow to achieve sensing data fusing, remote transmitting and monitoring. It is expectedto realize one to multi access service when fusing and transmitting sensing data inLAN and WAN network. The wireless transmission system sets up TCP/IP link withthe center through the3G module MC509, using3G network covering a large area tocomplete remote communication function and complete remote control of the fiberoptic sensing system.The innovation of the system:1. Fiber-optic sensor system is simply introduced, including the principle,composition, software and characteristic feature of distributed optical fibertemperature system and Fabry-Perot sensor system.2. The remote cable transmission system is based on the TCP/IP protocol to realize one to multi access service when fusing and transmitting sensing datain LAN and WAN network.3. The network of CDMA2000is used, which is very faster and stable. Theremote wireless transmission system is through MC509module which isconnected with PC via USB to set up TCP/IP link.4. Finally, the data validation method and algorithm of the fiber-optic sensorsystem proposed.
