| Currently, the convergence among broadband communication network, digitaltelevision network and Internet network has entered the implementation stage. How toreform the existing connection of ordinary people’s cable television network andconstruct a new high-speed network is the main problem which is faced in theconstruction of the next generation broadcast television network. Therefore, people putforward various solutions to lift the access rate including gigabit rate coaxial cablesolution. This solution which applies multi-channel polymerization technology, realizesthe high speed transmission.The transmission rate is more than1000Mbps by a128MHzsignal bandwidth.This thesis studies in the RF front end which is the core components of gigabit ratecoaxial cable solution. In order to meet the requirements of high speed transmission andlow bit error rate, the solution puts forward higher request to the RF front-end.According to the demand of solution, the author has designed and produced RF frontend which meets requirements for RF front end.First of all, this thesis briefly introduces the research background, applicationbackground and the role which the RF front-end plays in the equipment of the gigabitrate coaxial cable access solution.Secondly, this thesis introduces the theories which involves in the design of RFfront-end and according to the requirements gives the overall design scheme of thewhole RF front-end design. In the design scheme, this thesis carries on the detailedanalysis, and gives the scheme of RF link, the design of communication interface andpower management module which are based on the requests of the RF front end.Furthermore, detailed analysis and simulations of key modules which locate in theRF front end are given. Then the schemes of key modules are draw. Based on theschemes of the key module, the whole RF front-end schematic and PCB layout are draw.Design of microstrip line is one of the most important works in PCB design. So thethesis briefly introduces the design of microstrip line and the essentials of PCB layout. Finally, the RF front-end is debugged and then tested the all specifications. Thespecific test program and test result which validates the RF front end reaches the designrequirements are given. At last, according to the design and debugging result, the thesisgives some suggestions for next work.The RF front-end application to equipment of the gigabit rate coaxial cablesolution has verified the prototype and this thesis has a certain practical value. |
