As the two major networks in the world, Internet and mobile network have becomean indispensible part in our daily life. Almost all the people rely on them to obtaininformation. With the rapid development of Cloud Computing and Cloud Storage, thelarge-scale of data calculation and storage can be accomplished at the server end. Thecombination of the two becomes an inevitable trend of development, which can wellmake up the shortcomings of each other. For this reason, some people propose thenotion of WebOS, hoping the users could get all the functions of the traditional PC byusing one powerful browser. The users can in this way get rid of all the softwareinstallations and updates and do not have to worry about the storage and safety of thedata which can be managed totally by the carrier operators.If the users want to edit documents on the traditional PC, they must install thedecoder for the documents first. But most websites only provide the upload anddownload functions of the document. Due to the circumstance mentioned above, thisthesis paper designs a file system based on WebOS. Besides the upload and downloadfunctions of the traditional web page, this file system also provides functions such asnew-built, read-write, delete, copy, cut, paste, rename and sharing functions. Throughthe browser, users can edit the document at any time and any place without worryingabout the problem of file formats. The sharing function helps users no longer use theway of sending documents through e-mails because all the documents seem to beoperated through local operation system.This system is developed by adopting B/S design pattern and applyingdevelopment tools like Apache server, PHP language and MySQL data base. This thesispaper analyzes the overall demand of this file system. Every function module isdesigned in detail in this paper and function flow chart is provided together withrealization methods and tests toward the system.
