Bandgap reference is the most basic and most representative circuit module inanalog integrated circuits.High Precision bandgap reference is fundamental to thesuccess of the entire system-on-a-chip design. In the SOC era,adapt to energy-efficientand green lighting development tread, the research and design of bandgap reference IPcores based on BCD process will bring considerable economic benefits.Theories and techniques used in bandgap reference are studied. Considering theinfeasibility of high order temperature compensation and of trimming, analysed theerrors in bandgap reference voltage reference circuit, deeply studied the methods forreducing errors, and conducted practical bandgap reference IP design. Using CSMC40VBCD and700VBCD process designed, manufactured and tested a total of threebandgap reference IP cores.The test results show that all the designed bandgap reference IP cores can worksteady under3V to6V operating voltage, temperature characteristics and initial outputaccuracy can meet the requirements of practical application,and that the errors controleddesign method is valid.
