With the continuous development of computer hardware, software, modern testingand control technologies, the scale and complexity of automatic test system (ATS) arebecome higher and higher. The traditional software development methods, especiallyusing the process-oriented programming language like C, are hard toconstruct an automatic test system with better reusability and extensibility to meetthe users’ needs in the limited time and const. In the light of these issues, on the basis ofrelevant experience, this paper improves the software development efficiency ofapplication system in automatic test field by researching on and introducing theobject-oriented framework technology.Firstly, the paper introduces the related theories and technologies of ATS, as well as the object-oriented technologies such as UML, design patterns, framework and so on.Secondly, starting from the domain features and demands, the paper extracts thecommon parts of multiple software systems in the same field and uses the idea ofobject-oriented modeling to establish a framework model of ATS. On the basis of theframework model, the paper combines the existing development experience with matureframework ideas, uses the design patterns to design the ATS framework, researches onthe software development approach of ATS.Finally, as the case, a capacitor ATS is designed and implemented to validate thefeasibility and effectiveness of framework model and development approach inimproving the software development efficiency by reusing the ATS frameworkand combining the specific application needs.
