Stereoscopic video, which is also called3D video, uses the theory of stereoscopicvision through humans’ binocular obtaining different viewpoints, and makes the userobtain stereoscopic vision effect. Stereoscopic video technology has become a researchfocus in the international academia because of its wide application prospect, and in thefrontier applications of stereoscopic video business, video quality assessment isinevitably needed. How to evaluate stereoscopic video quality has become achallengingly innovative subject in the field of stereoscopic video technology.As we know, any expression form of stereoscopic video presents to the audience inall with left and right viewpoints in display terminal, and the quality of these twoviewpoints will influence the viewing experience of stereoscopic video directly. Basedon that, this paper studies two viewpoints’ video quality’s impact on stereoscopic videooverall perceived quality. According to the experimental results and analysis, a qualityassessment model of stereoscopic video is built based on the viewpoints video quality,and the model performance is analyzed.Stereoscopic video presents to the audience more than in scope, and space stereofeeling of the organic combination of the two viewpoints, so the quality evaluation ofstereoscopic must take the quality of the depth perception into account, too. In the depthperception level, the disparity match for the sequence of different quality level of thetwo viewpoints is taken frame by frame, and the forecast parallax sequences’ quality isassessed through objective experiments, where its impact on the stereoscopic videoperceived quality is further explored. Combining the two aspects given above, thisthesis finally gives the objective quality assessment model for stereoscopic video withgood performance.
