To promote the continued development of ultraviolet detection basic theory, especially for engineering application of the general technology approach ofultraviolet detecting system of the high-altitude and high-speed target. The researchis made to address and make the general technology approach, ultraviolet opticalsystem of wide aperture, the processing faint signal of ultraviolet target and theestablishment of the operating range model of spot target are mainly studied.Firstly, Based on expounding the composition and working principle of aultraviolet detection system, The analysis of the general technology approach ofultraviolet detecting system, such as radiation characteristic of the high-altitude andhigh-speed target, ultraviolet atmospheric propagating properties and ultravioletoptical system, etc.Simulations are performed for the ultraviolet atmosphereattenuation with different weather conditions. And the main performances ofultraviolet detection are put forward.Secondly, after analysing the three typical ultraviolet optical system structures, optical performance of the materials is discussed from the physical properties, thechemical properties and the optical properties. This paper provides the designmethod of the ultraviolet optical system. Then,a large aperture ultraviolet opticalsystem with150-mm is designed through the concrete instances. This designedultraviolet optical system has the advantages of large aperture, simple structure, small volume, long back working distance, high adaptability to temperature and highimaging quality.Thirdly, General methods of adaptive noise canceling and three specialmethods, such as adaptive noise counteraction based on the basic theories andalgorithmic character of the least mean square error rule adaptive noise canceling, recursive least square rule and linear neural network, are studied in thispaper.Signal-to-noise is employed to weigh signal of the merits. the three methods offiltering of signal noise are compared and analyzed. When the input signal-to-noiseis rising from-9dB to0.86dB, the algorithm of least mean square is roughlyequivalent to the algorithm of recursive least square,by which the signal-to-noiseimproved about12.5dB. And the LMS algorithm is slightly better than the RLSalgorithm. But, signal-to-noise is obviously improved by the algorithm of adalinethan the first two algorithms.which can implement a high-performance filtering. Finally, two methods of the operating range model of ultraviolet point targetdetect system are established, one considers angle blur that are influential in imagingquality based on the signal-to-noise,while the other is based on probability ofdetection and the probability of false alarms. By reviewing ultraviolet target’sradiation data, the corresponding parameters of ultraviolet detector and the data ofatmosphere transmission.the operating range of7km is taken as an example, feasibility of the methods are verified by calculation results. At the same time, Thispaper make further researches into the main factors that affect the operating rangeaccording to established models. the theoretical meaning and engineering application value are obtained. This paper can provide theory support and technical references inthe general technology approach research on ultraviolet detecting system of thehigh-altitude and high-speed target.
