Infrared thermal wave nondestructive testing (NDT) is the method which based on the thermal wave theory, and unlike conventional testing methods. The advantage of flash pulse excitation infrared thermal wave nondestructive testing is fast speeding, big detection area, non-contact, and has intuitive results. This method often be used in the metal and some nonmetallic which has more thermal conductivity. But for some nonmetallic which has less thermal conductivity, the flash pulse excitation method cannot be used because the power is not enough. So here comes the Persistent excitation method. The method of persistent excitation has huge power and energy. The heat could be absorbed by the sample which has less Thermal conductivity, and Spread in the sample in thermal wave. While this heating method is collected by the IR camera, the data must be processed by the software to show the people. But the past data-processing software could not be used by the new method. So the writer writes a new software which based on the VC++, to solve the problem. The paper introduced the functions and algorithms of the software detailed. Comparing with the old algorithms, they have some similar thing, and the new algorithms has some improving. It can be used both in the flash pulse excitation and the persistent excitation. In addition, it could calculate the sample’s thermal conductivity. We used the stone sample, the wind blade sample, the stainless steel sample, and C-C sample to prove the useful of the software and the advantage of the algorithms, and the feature which fit both excitation methods. It increase the range of infrared thermal wave nondestructive testing, and have great significance in the developing of the NDT.
