Extreme ultraviolet (EUV) photon counting imaging detector is able to detect weak ultraviolet radiation, predict and study the effects of solar activity on earth’s plasma layer. The study of detector’s output signal processing link can be more in-depth understanding of signal processing process. Through the analysis of function each unit in signal processing link, we can improve the performance of the whole system.To begin with, introducing the weak light detector development process and the working principle of micro channel plates (MCP) and wedge stripe zigzag(WSZ) anode, which are core components of weak light detector. And then, we expatiated on centroid decoding algorithm, and made a derivation of the transfer function of each module circuits. Finally, using Simulink to simulate transfer function of the system, we have gotten the response of the system at1%duty cycle under1KHz pulse. We also did simulations on two order filter circuit by PSpice as contrast.In the process of analysis centroid decoding algorithm, we found a new method to correct cross-talk between electrodes using one variable, making the calculation simply. According to the analysis of electronic circuit, by setting upper and lower threshold value to remove fork signal triggers, the edge of the image characteristics was stronger, and image quality was improved. And we confirmed experimentally the tailing phenomenon is due to MCP feedback effect.
