Radio propagation has been one of the most widespread concern and research direction in the research areas of environmental electromagnetic characteristics and electromagnetic field theory. With the rapid development of modern wireless mobile communication technology, the calculation and analysis of the characteristics of radio propagation in the troposphere is the most important part of the direction of the electromagnetic field theory research. In the prediction of the radio propagation model of the troposphere, many factors produce the predictions of the model to a great impact. Therefore, how to establish an accurate and efficient radio propagation model is particularly important. This thesis is based on three-dimensional parabolic equation model to predict the propagation characteristics, in order to overcome the above drawbacks. The main job of this thesis include the following sections:First of all, introduces the research background and topics of significance, and analysis of the history, development and application prospects of radio wave propagation. At the same time, introduces the theory of radio wave propagation basics. Second, based on the wave equation, the two-dimensional parabolic equation and three-dimensional parabolic equation are deduced. Third, with Crank-Nicolson finite difference method for differential parabolic equations, so that the field of place can be obtained from that of the present place by a simple matrix transformation, thus greatly improving the calculation speed. Fourth, set the initial field and absorbing boundary conditions for three-dimensional scalar parabolic equation and use the piecewise linear recursive convolution thought to increase the absorption effect. Fifth, successfully invoked matrix pretreatment technology to handle large matrix, greatly improved the condition of the limit of the amount of computer storage. Sixth, the analysis and calculation of radio propagation loss in a common environment, providing a reliable platform for the propagation of wave of the future complex environment. Seventh, the study of the possibility of further optimization of discrete algorithms to improve the accuracy of the algorithm and Crank.Nicolson finite difference method combined with the PML further verify the feasibility and correctness of the algorithm.
