An Interactive Wearable Device-Translation Glass

Nowadays, with the increasingly frequent cross cultural exchange, different kinds of translation products emerge one after another and the translation accuracy improve a lot with the fast development of artificial intelligence. However, the mainstream translation products still remain in the traditional mode which is entering words then get the translation result. A more intuitive translation approach is needed. Recently, several companies bring out some functions like image translation and screen word capture, making certain innovations in the translation mode. But users still need several steps to complete the translation process, degrading users’experience about this product.At present, body feeling technology prevails and the finger tracking technology has made a lot of progress. Some original products emerge like LEAPMOTION. This paper integrates finger tracking technology while exploring an entire new translation mode, aiming to improve users’experience. From the perspective of overall effect, we realize the translation module by programming Microsoft Translator API.This paper introduces a pair of interactive translation glasses:it can recognize and translate the foreign text your finger point to, and then you can see the translation result from the glasses. Unlike common translation applications, this is a wearable computation device which possesses good interactivity and more purposeful translation process. This paper illustrates the design process of it from many aspects like user, emotion, technology, form and business.From the consideration of business, translation glasses which use wearable computing device as a carrier meet the trend that mobile technology takes more and more occupations in the market. In addition, augmented reality seems more appealing to users.This paper introduces the functions and specific realization of translation glasses in detail. Upon the theory of integration design, we combine cutting-edge technology, user experience and appearance design. And we present a preferable business mode.
