At present in our country, the building energy consumption has occupied more than a quarter of the country’s total energy consumption, of which a large proportion is from HVAC(heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) system. And most of the HVAC systems are always at the part load in most of the time. In this condition, the thermal efficiency is much lower than the rated capacity efficiency which leads to a large amount of energy wasted. So optimization on the HVAC system has important significance to relieve energy demand. In the HVAC system, water system energy consumption account for the vast majority of the total energy consumption, reducing the energy consumption of the water system is an important way to reduce total system energy consumption.Based on the global optimization, the paper focuses on the energy saving of the HVAC water system, aiming at improving its operational efficiency, and achieving the purpose of energy saving.The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1)The optimal energy consumption model of HVAC water system is established. The paper summed up the energy consumption model of each device according to the different characteristics of the equipment. Using different equipment constraints, system optimization objective function can be simplified, thereby establish HVAC water system energy consumption model for the next step to identify the model parameters.(2) The optimal energy consumption model of HVAC water system is identified. On the basis of the energy consumption model of HVAC water system, use recursive least squares method to identify the model parameters of the model, determine the energy consumption model of the water system. The experimental data from our experimental platform show that the calculated values consistenting well with the system measured values, the model has higher precision. (3) According to the feature of optimization model, a genetic simulated annealing algorithm is presented which is used to the optimization calculation of the HVAC water system. With satisfying the cooling load, the technology reduced the total energy consumption of HVAC water system, and ensured the efficient operation. On the basis of Standard Genetic Algorithm, the improved algorithm integrates into the simulated annealing algorithm, obtaining better local search and global search capability. Using genetic simulated annealing algorithm to optimize the HVAC water system, compared to optimize the results with existing genetic algorithm, the convergence rate has been significantly improved, and energy-saving effect of the water system is more significant.
