To study the lot size impact on the cost, time and quality, based on those factorsestablish the optimum lot size template. Production mode change from Massproduction to the Multi-Specification and Small-Batch production and thecompetition increasing rapidly in the market cause cost pressure, the purpose of thispaper is to solve above problem quickly and efficiently. Analyze the effect of differentproduction mode on production management and manufacture system, as well as theway of schedule solution in different production mode. It is unfeasible to completetransformation in mature company according to mode and schedule solution research,but the lot size is an important factor in the production management system, changethe lot size could reach the purpose of cost reduction, improve quality and timelycontrol the lead time, could do more with less by changing the lot size to balance thecost, time and quality, on the original system compatible auxiliary role. To introducethe optimal lot size making process and solving solution, summed PCB manufacturingprocess and process characteristics, on the basis of the economic lot size definitionthinking, simulation and planning of operations research solution principle. Establishthe optimal lot size model based on worked PCB enterprises. The model not only getsthe optimal lot size, the cost and lead time also intuitive performance in the chart. Thecalculation template is easy to use and maintain. Using the actual production data tovalidate and analyze, finally prove the result calculate by the model is match with theactual production, the model can play a good role in support of the productionscheduling decision, its modeling process and solution methods available to othercompanies to provide references.
