Today, the rapid development and extensive use of communication equipment have made the communication between people more and more convenient, and brought great convenience to our life. However, existing communication equipments can not meet the needs of deaf and dumb in certain situations, for example, in case of alarm fire or theft occurs, ordinary telephone can not meet their needs, and use textphone in certain organs and departments can solve the problems. Textphone is a phone with a full keyboard, text message will be transmitted through ordinary telephone lines, either side will see the message of both sides on the phone. The voice and data processing use dsPIC33F digital signal processor produced by Microchip, and Microchip also provides graphics library for embedded system design, which bring a great convenience to the developer of textphone.The article describes how to design the interface of textphone with graphics library, including use the widges, the new widgets, generate the streamline character set in order to use the Chinese fonts and modify the style of the widges of the library. Using dsPIC33F in the process of the interface design of textphone, using C language to program and C30to compile, using MPLAB IDE and Protues to debug, The interface of textphone is completed by using the widgets of library and modifying the head files, configuration files, message function and message callback functions. Simulation results shows that the interface design of textphone can be quicker and easier.
