There is lots of information about human health in pulse data, so diagnosis byfeeling the pulse takes the most important position in the four diagnostic methods ofTraditional Chinese Medicine. For the doctors making Pulse diagnosis just depend ontheir fingers, it is too subjective to make a quantitative and normative diagnosis, not tomention to keep the data long time so someone can do deep research. The design ofpulse instrument is for the purpose to observe the pulse by instrument and formulatean objective and normative diagnosis to solve this problem that Traditional ChineseMedicine is facing with.As the progress of modern science and technology, the microcontroller gets ahuge application in instrumentation for its features such as small size, low powerconsumption and strong functions. This paper proceeds from market level and userneeds, it designs a dynamic pulse acquisition system based on air conduction whoseheart is UPD78F0485which is designed by NEC Corporation. This system usepiezoresistive pressure sensor to collect pulse data, then deals with it by analogcircuits before the analog-to-digital conversion. This system expand the RS232toUSB interface and Bluetooth Data Module interface for BLK-MD-BC04-B to makethe means of communicate in wired and wireless ways. It also has a LCD to displaythe pulse rate while the data is stored in external memory M95M01via SPI interface.The dynamic pulse acquisition system that designed by this paper is capable ofcollecting the pulse wave signal and transferring the pulse data stably, the USB notonly do the transmission but also be the supply for the battery. The Bluetooth moduletakes a dedicated data transmission chip to make the transfer accurately and stably.The information management system plots the data as long as there is one received,and the data can be classified and stored at will. In practical application, TV set-topboxes and smart phones will take the place of computer to upload the data to theserver for the calculation because of the system openness, so it will be moreconvenient and fast for common users to collect and analysis their pulse.
