SWCNTs saturable absorber is applied to achieve passive mode-locking in recentyears. The laser made in the way can output ultra-short laser with high average powerand large area laser light. The laser is simple and easy to start.The form of carbon nanotubes saturated absorber passive mode-locking includestwo kinds. One uses the interaction of carbon nanotubes and light field to producesaturable absorber, then outputs ultrashort pulse laser. The form of clamping is easy todamage carbon nanotube, which causes low pulse power and ropy light beam. The otherform of clamping is to use the interaction of CNTs and evanescent wave in optical fiberto produce ultrashort pulse laser. The latter form can output stable and high peak powerlight beam than the former and is to get fs pulse more easily.Here use the interaction of single-walled carbon nanotubes and evanescent wave torealize the output of fs ultra-short laser with double-clad fiber as gain medium and highpower multimode output semiconductor laser as pump light source. The main works ofthis article as follows:1、The paper introduces basic structure of passive mode-locking fiber laser andsummarizes the research of carbon nanotubes clamping fiber laser at home and abroad.2、Build theoretical model of ultra-short pulse transmission in optical fiber andanalyse GDV、third order dispersion and fluence self-phase modulation to ultrashortpulse evolution. Besides, the paper researches carbon nanotubes clamping fiber laser bytemporal ABCD matrix method, analyses the fluence cavity various parameters to laseroutput performance and establishes theoretical basis of fiber laser.3、The paper expounds optical and electrical properties of SWNTs, discussesmanufacturing operation of single-walled carbon nanotubes clamping device, includingsingle-walled carbon nanotubes solution decentralization, fabrication of single-modeoptical fiber type D, analyses absorption characteristic of carbon nanotubes saturatedabsorber, explains the clamping principle. At last,4、I made the experimental device of ring cavity double-clad fiber laser, tested theoutput characteristic of carbon nanotubes clamping fiber laser and got average powerhundred milliwatt fs pulse output.
