RF power amplifier is the key equipment in modern communication systems,Its performance directly affects the quality of communication.RF power amplifier with high power,high efficiency and high linearity,have become hot and difficulty in communication equipment design.In this paper,for the cellular band,the Class C high efficiency RF single-tube power amplifier and the Class C high efficiency RF balanced power amplifier be designed and linearization.The completed work in this paper are as follows:Firstly, according to the design specifications, this paper analyses the performance parameters of the LDMOS transistor MRFE6S9046N, it determines the quiescent operating point. On this basis, it studies the stability of the power amplification circuit.lt uses of the Load-pull techniques get the map of power and efficiency. It gets the target impedance under C static work point.It uses the Bode-Fano criterion and Smith Chart combined to achieve the matching circuit.It uses ADS to design the class C single-tube power amplifier with high efficiency and high output power. Through the analysis of the harmonic balance simulation, power amplifier in the frequency range of930-950MHz, the output power is more than45dBm, power added efficiency is greater than65%, gain greater than18dB. It uses the power back-off technique, power back-off4dBm, IMD3to-30dBc.Secondly, it analyzes the structure and characteristics of the balanced power amplifier.According to the design specifications, it designs a Wilkinson power divider with band930-950MHz. Based on the single-tube RF power amplifier and Wilkinson power divider,it designs a balanced RF power amplifier. Through the analysis of the harmonic balance simulation, power amplifier in the930-950MHz frequency range, the output power is more than46.6dBm, power added efficiency is greater than53%, gain greater than19dB. The input power is27dBm, IMD3to-22dBc.Finally, it introduces the predistortion technology and various mathematical models of power amplifier. Based on the single-tube RF power amplifier, it adds phase compensation line. Based the input and output power,it estimate the parameters of Saleh model. It uses MATLAB to complete the predistortion modeling and simulation, AM-AM has good linearity, AM-PM distortion is improved in a certain range.
