Application Study Of Data Warehouse Technology In The Price Monitoring

In recent years, the government has paid more and more attention to themonitoring of price data. With the increasing of the price monitoring data, how toscientifically manage the vast amounts of data and effectively extract the informationfor decision-making is a problem need to be resolved currently. In order to solve theproblem in the current work, the subject of the application of data warehousetechnology in the price monitoring system. In this thesis, the application of datawarehouse technology in the price monitoring system has been discussed, thecharacteristic of the price monitoring is analyzed, the advantage and the feasibility ofapplying the Data Warehouse technique in the price monitoring system is fullyconsidered. Depending on this basis, a useful practice is carried out. As the data source,multiple price monitoring database system is used to establish a Data Warehouse, whichprovides data for the existing price monitoring system to achieve policy-makingfunctions. The content of this study is as follows.(1) The background and the usage of price monitoring are analyzed. The researches,basic concepts, architecture, design methodologies, the working courses, as well asmathematical model of the Data Warehouse are introduced, and the research content ofthis thesis is proposed.(2) Combining with the actual situation in author’s work, the Data Warehousetechnology is applied in the field of price monitoring and the characteristics of the dataof price monitoring in author’s work is analyzed. On this basis, the analysis of the pricemonitoring data warehouse system is done.(3) On the basis of the requirements analysis and system design, the detaileddesign of price monitoring data warehouse system is carried out. The design specificallyincludes: price monitoring, data acquisition, high-level, middle level and physical layermodeling of the price monitoring data warehouse, data extraction, transformation andloading, as well as online analytical processing, etc.(4) A price monitoring system, which based on data warehouse technology, is done.This system provides information support functions for the price of managementdecisions.(5) The work of this thesis is summarized and the future research and developmentwork are proposed.
