Mathematics homework is an important part of after-class learning. The implementation and correction of math homework is an important link in the teaching. But in the teaching practice of the rural areas, the implementation and correction of math homework are still have many problems, so many school teachers are also looking for methods and countermeasures to solve it, but a lot of work strategies focus on design and correction of homework, ignore the authenticity and reliability of homework implementationThis research uses the literature research method, survey method, case study method, with multiple intelligence theory, the zone of proximal development theory, meta cognitive theory as the theoretical foundation, and investigates the status of students complete the homework and the rural junior middle school mathematics teachers attitudes, thoughts and behavior in the arrangement and correcting of the homework through questionnaire survey and interview, and then using a case study undertakes an analysis from three respects, they are teacher assign homework, students complete the homework, correct homework. Then find the method of "implementation" and "correction" that can reduce the workload of teachers and reduce plagiarism phenomenon and promote students learning.Conclusions based on the case study:1. Methods of implementation of mathematics homework:(1) with layered homework and "zero" homework,(2) with packet independence and unified discussion,(3) with "strict" and "wide".2. Methods of correction of mathematics homework:(1) correcting mode diversification:"face to face correction or all correction" method, group correction method, correcting the students group discussion method, students correct homework under the guidance of teachers, delay correction method,(2) correcting body diversification:teachers correction, leaders correction, independent correction, students correct homework under the guidance of the teachers.The process of combining case study gives two recommendations:1. Layering at any time according to the actual situation of the students;2. Incentive target should accord with the actual situation of the students;3. Choosing the excellent student as the group leader, enhancing the degree of adaptability of the group leader;4. Focusing on process, correcting of education.
