In recent years, the occurrence of school sports injuries have increased in agrowing trend in primary and secondary schools and issues on sports safety have drawnpeople’s attention. Sports injuries not only cause some harmful impacts on children’sphysical and mental growth, but also become some certain risks that are confronted withsports teachers, which may lead to high medical expenses or the danger of beingcharged, making their work more difficult. With the pace of school physical educationcurriculum reform continues to accelerate, the content of physical education has becomemore changeable and there are various forms of education, and at the same time theschool-based curriculum have increased gradually. However, the schools’ investments insports facilities are not quiet enough, such as the old playground, old fashioned facilitiesand lack of space, all of which have security dangers and risks. In addition, schoolsports venues are being paid or free to the public, which has increased the likelihoodand severity of occupational risk of physical education teachers and becomes a majorconstraint in the health development of career. Therefore the PE teachers’ work inprofessional risk management is very important.At present, the study of sports risk management mostly take young students as theresearch object, and from the angle of young students hurt, while ignoring that the PEteachers are in "in the teeth of the storm" in the sports teaching activity. In thebackground of physical education curriculum reform, physical education teachers’ workis more complicated and various, at the same time the occupation pressure andoccupational burnout problems can not be ignored. With facing more unknown eventsmore, the risk increased as well. Therefore, research on the field of occupational risk ofschool PE teachers is very urgent.In this study, the author take the risk of primary and secondary school teachers andtheir professional sports as the object, by using of literature, field research methods, dataanalysis, logic analysis and other research methods, through surveys among Puyang,Henan and Jiangsu, Suzhou and other primary and secondary schools, exploringprimary and secondary schools PE teachers occupational characteristics, summarizingand analyzing the type of sport and the risk of primary and secondary teachers source ofoccupational risks, putting forward the measures for primary and secondary schoolteachers in sports to identify occupational risks, providing security for physicaleducation teachers in primary and secondary schools and giving them well-run sports services. The main conclusions are as follows:1、An occupational risk of PE Teachers refers to that in the process of their career,the liability risks which have a certain frequency of occurrence, and borne by thephysical education teachers. That is to say, namely, during the primary and secondaryphysical education process, the possibility of being physically or mentally harmed bythe education process itself, or some relative people and things, or some otheruncertainties.2、Primary and secondary school physical education teachers’ teaching career havethe particularity of teaching objects, teaching contents, teaching methods and teachingtasks.3、Secondary school physical education teachers’ occupational risks include severaldimensions of human risks, occupational environment risks, schools risks, teachingrisks and school management risks.4、The means of identifying PE Teachers’ occupational risks are: risks for differenttypes of projects and risks selected for different teaching content, mainly from the riskindicator of likelihood and severity to identify different occupational risks for PEteachers.
