Facing the challenge of world multiculturalism and social transformation, raisinghumanistic quality of teenagers has become an important topic of current education, which isinseparable from cultural tradition education. In recent years, cultural tradition education indifferent stages has been paid more and more attention, especially in primary school. Manyprimary schools have set up curriculum of cultural tradition education. Literature review,surveys are used in this paper. Through the investigation, I understand the current situation ofcultural tradition education in primary school, analyze the reasons that affect culturaltradition education in primary school and research the paths.First of all, by comparing the differences between domestic and internationalcultural tradition education, this paper summarizes the characteristics of them and furtheranalysis the enlightenment of them. Besides, in-depth understand and explain the value ofcultural tradition education in primary school to students, teachers and schools. What’smore, in order to understand the current situation of cultural tradition education inprimary school, I prepare two questionnaires of the current teaching situation of culturaltradition education in primary school for teachers and students.The questionnaires are toinvestigate the students and teachers in several primary schools in the city of Suzhou. Thesurvey results show the main difficulties of cultural tradition education in primary school,which includes the single teaching methods, being not flexible enough to integrate intodifferent disciplines, the lack of a more comprehensive system of teaching andcurriculum system and lack of protection mechanisms. Finally, research the paths ofcultural tradition education in primary school according to the survey results, whichincludes constructing the curriculum and materials systems of cultural tradition education,constructing the teaching mode, the combination of cultural tradition education anddisciplines education,and establishing the protection mechanism of cultural traditioneducation.
