As a common phenomenon, students with learning difficulties in the class during theteaching of English are not a easy thing for teachers to teach them English well. This paperfocuses on the students with learning difficulties in middle school in the Weifang city and triesto survey the reasons why the slow students come into being. The aim of this paper is to findsome ways to turn them into excellent students and to explore the good ways to improvethem.The purpose of this study is to understand the present situation of the poor students injunior middle school, and to find causes of the poor student, and discuss the solution, to helpthem learn English well, regain confidence. Through the study of causes and countermeasures,we found that the formation of the junior middle school English poor student has multiplefactors. Through the investigation and study, we found that the formation of the middle schoolstudents with learning difficulties in English poor has multiple factors, such as studentspersonal factors: no clear learning motivation, lack of interest, there is no scientific learningmethods, etc.; Family factors: parents expect too much, give students too much pressure,without the support of a good family environment; Social factors: the unbalanced educationresources; And school factors: teachers’ own quality.It is need to suit the remedy to the casefor a different reason. Although these factors is complex, but we believe that students throughtheir own efforts, under the guidance and the education of teachers, will eventually overcomevarious unfavorable factors, and good at their English study.This article is divided into six parts. The first part puts forward the question, point outthe definition of a student with learning difficulties, introduce the theoretical basis of thisthesis research. At the same time, determine the research objects, tools and methods. Thesecond part is the research both at home and abroad, this paper introduces the domestic andforeign research situation of poor student. The third part is the investigation and study of thepresent situation of the junior middle school English poor student. The fourth part is theanalysis and attribution of the results of the survey. The fifth part shows the countermeasuresand Suggestions. Discuss on the specific countermeasures about English poor students injunior middle school, including improving students interest in learning, to strengthen theguidance of scientific learning method; Changing the concept of teachers’ education, establisha good relationship between teachers and students; Strengthen the parent-child communication, parent-school cooperative closely. The sixth part summarizes the full text,pointed out the research value and the existing shortcomings of this paper, and prospects thefollow-up studies.
