The reformations on New Course have brought both challenges and opportunities. Therefore, the former way of teaching by experiences cannot meet the need and trend of education. Also, we primary school teacher should revalue our teaching theories and teaching practice and quicken the pace of being professional. The most efficient way of teaching is reflection our teaching practice which cannot not only improve our teaching efficiency but also better our teachers’way of living and thinking.This paper is focusing on three dimensions, researching the teaching reflection situations among the primary teachers in Yue Lu district, Changsha; finding the reasons of restricting teacher’s self-reflection and trying to give suggestion to optimize the teaching reflection. The survey has chosen more than196teachers from the6primary schools in Yue Lu district to do the relevant interviews and questionnaires. The result reviews that the current teaching reflection situations among the primary teachers is not optimistic. The major problems are as followed, using improper ways; treating the feedbacks from students and colleagues differently; lacking of in-depth and broaden contents on teaching reflection.Focusing on the referred situations, this paper gives suggestions from three aspects, the teachers, the schools and the education departments to better the primary teacher’s self-reflection. From the aspect of teachers, they should build the awareness of self-reflection, inspire the needs of professional developments, apply multiple way of teaching reflection and widen the contents about the teaching reflection. The school should build an agreeable environment to teacher’ s self-reflection. The headmaster of school should be the role model of reflection; constructing the communicative platform; innovating the model of teaching seminar; releasing the burden of the primary teachers and leaving time and space for them to do self-reflection. At last the education department should provide necessary prerequisites for teachers to do self-reflection on the overall environment.
