Research On The Campus Humane Quality Training Approaches Of Science And Engineering Students

The training of humanity quality for students of science and engineering in ourcolleges and universities began in the early1990s, but the investigation haveconfirmed that the humanity quality of undergraduates in science and engineeringhaven’t been improved greatly. Contrary, the present situation of science andengineering college student’s humane quality is not good. For this situation, manytheoretical have been taken up by universities, but the humane quality of students arestill not satisfactory. For this research, we want to know the reason why these methodsof theory are not work and what’re the problems in practice.Based on the constructivism learning theory and previous research summed upthe five training ways of humanistic quality of science and engineering students,“Library”、“Campus culture”、“The professional teaching”、“College staff behavior”、“humanities curriculum and design”. Based on the humanities quality of engineeringstudents at present and the effect of five cultivation ways through the questionnaireinvestigation at hunan four universities engineering students. The survey was carriedout by means of descriptive statistics, chi square test and variance analysis, with406questionnaires sent out, and344effective questionnaires collected. The main contentsand conclusions in this dissertation are as follows:1.The current humanity educationof science and engineering student has a lot of problems in our universities. Whetherthe level of school and students in grade are shown in the humanities qualityassessment of no difference.2.Five kinds of theoretical training paths in conductinganalyzes of variance were shown a correlation，which shows that five kinds of trainingmethods are able to play a role in the quality of training.“The professional teaching”and "Humanities curriculum and the design" play the most important role in thehumanistic quality of college students of science and engineering.3.The five trainactual operation condition of pathway was discovered, by comparison of the five waysof training in the "Humanities curriculum and the design",“The professionalteaching”. The two theory training methods in real applications are still existing bigproblems and deficiencies. Facing the research conclusion, on the one hand collegesand universities on humane quality cultivation should increase the "Library","Campus culture" and other hidden classroom use; on the other hand, focus oncreating cultural taste of the professional classes in the humanities curriculum anddesign to highlight the importance of humanistic quality training.In order to cultivatescience and engineering students a good sense and social responsibility, colleges and universities should pay attention to the integration of the professional knowledge ofhumanities and humanities courses in practice, update teaching content and improveappraisal methods.
