The Inspiration Of ’Cuore’ To Current Chinese Education

Love is the best emotional feeling of human kind, and also the soul of education. We can trace the’love’education from many old sayings:"Such kindness of warm sun, can’t be repaid by grass","He who loves people will always receive love from them",’Respect the elderly of the others you do to yours, and love the younger of the others as you do to yours". However, right now there are still many problems in the love education. Therefore, it is of great value to investigate the education of love so as to enrich and perfect the Chinese language education. Based on analysis of Edmondo De Amicis’s book’Cuore’, this paper addresses the confusion in the current love education and discusses the value and insight the book provides us to improve Chinese language education. This paper contains three parts:Firstly. It will be mainly focused on the review of the book’Cuore’. There will be four sub-sections, i.e., the content of the book, the definition of love education, the categories of love, and the educational aspects of love.Secondly.It will be on the confusion of love education in the current Chinese language education. The analysis of such confusion will be conducted from four different viewpoints:the emphasis on the utility of the Chinese language subject other than the humanity side, the narrow definition of love education in the current textbooks, the limitation of love education in the Chinese language education, and the Chinese language teachers’misunderstanding about love and the mistreatment of teacher-student relationship.Thirdly, It will explain the insights that the book’Cuore’can provide towards the current education. Firstly, it is needed to balance the utility and humanity sides of the Chinese language subject. Secondly, there is need to enrich the education of love in the Chinese textbooks. Thirdly, the classroom education structure should be optimized, in combination of outdoor practices. Another point is to improve the standards of the teachers and develop a caring and harmonious teacher-student relationship.In all, the love education is the ultimate goal of the education of the mankind. It is the incumbent responsibility of teachers to feel love, pass on love and provide love in the Chinese language education.
