The21st century is an era of network. In this era, all kinds of network information exchange has become the basical factors for the development of individual and social, and further promote the rapid development of network medium. Dr Dijk Jan van said:"The network will be nervous system of our future society, and we can expect this infrastructure will give us bigger impact on the whole society and personal life than road which was used to construct items and transport person in the past." As the college students with higher levels of the nation, they are closely linked with the network media. Their network media literacy levels will largely determine the overall situation of social development in our country in the future. For this, students must are good at using the network media, and then maximize the utility of network information and knowledge.Network media includes consciousness of network media literacy, network media knowledge, network media ability and network media ethics. Network media consciousness is the important precondition for cultivating college students’ Internet media literacy, including consciousness of obtaining network information, positive attitude treating network information, network media environment law-abiding consciousness. Network media knowledge refers to the knowledge which is needed in obtaining、using and evaluating network information, mainly involves the basic theory knowledge and the necessary network media technology knowledge and a certain level of knowledge of English. Network media ability develops better and better in the process of accepting%transmitting and using network information, it mainly includes the cognition of network media and using ability, ability to identify and analyze the network information as well as to use and develop network resources. Network media ethics requires college students must first have a high degree of social responsibility, must ensure the purity of learning outcomes at the same time, and maintain good cooperation with others actively.The network media literacy has four characteristics, including universality, gradation, practical and developmental characteristics. Nowadays, college students enjoy great convenience which the network brings, but there are also many problems in the process of using the network at the same time, such as college students still exist certain information trek.Network supervision consciousness is poorer; Lacking relative knowledge of network media in general, especially lacking understanding of the network information, proficiency of network operation system is relatively poor, lacking the overall questioning spirit of network information authority and effectiveness,the understanding of the network information, identify and innovation ability is low; Integrity level is reduced, Values produce deviation, moral bottom line declines, ethical and moral level is low.Because of this, we should strengthen the cultivation of college students’ Internet media literacy through various channels, establish broad and good social cultivation environment, play colleges and universities’ leading role in the university students’ network media literacy cultivation, at the same time, strengthen college students’ Internet media literacy education itself, finally realizes the harmony of the society, man and network.
