On the basis of the reference and learning the model which on the vocational education curriculum reform in developed countries since the reform and opening up, vocational education curriculum which had been attempting the reform that from the emphasis on the great importance to learn theoretical knowledge to strengthen the skills training and the development of the vocational competence in our country.Each curriculum reform means that re-examine the value of the original curriculum.Over the years,people also put forward a lot of value judgments for vocational education curriculum,but such judgements are empirical which based on the existing problems of the curriculum. Actually, in order to clear the value of the vocational education curriculum, to grasp the development tendency of the vocational education curriculum value, we need to begin with the academic level based on the view of curriculum theory to analyze the value of vocational education curriculum in the historical background of the curriculum development. This paper attempts to analyze the core values of the vocational education curriculum in our country since the reform and opening up from the history,culture,curriculum policy,economic construction and technological development etc, to explore and summarize the basic characteristics of the value development of the vocational education curriculum, then provide theoretical basis for clear the core values of the vocational education curriculum from the theoretical as well as further promote the practice of the curriculum reform of vocational education in China.In addition to the preamble of this article is divided into the following three parts:The first part discusses the basic intrinsic value and the value of vocational education curriculum and the basic elements of vocational education curriculum value, then based on it to explain the essence of the value of vocational education curriculum.The second part which based on either the importance of education and vocational education policy in our country since the reform and opening up, or the five kinds of typical curriculum setting and implementation in the curriculum reform, and to analyze the core values of our country’s vocational education curriculum which is divided into three stages since the reform and opening up:First,from reform and opening up to the mid-1980s,the core values of vocational education curriculum were the transmission of knowledge and develop a rational spirit during this period; Second,from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s,the core values of vocational education curriculum were train the skills and form the professional consciousness during this period;Third, since the mid-1990s,mainly for its core values are develop professional competence and foster professionalism.The third part to explore the basic characteristics of the development of the vocational education curriculum value,which are summarized in three points:To begin with,shifts in the value of vocational education curriculum consistent with the laws of social development; then by the direction of social value to both the individual value; Third, by improving literacy to cultivate professional direction.In addition,summed up the deficiencies of the curriculum value in the development of China’s vocational education, respectively for the individual value in the status of vocational education curriculum value remains to be improved, and the humanistic value of vocational education curriculum is not be fully reflected.
