The marxist theory has been Classified as the first subject by The State Council batchlorSince2005. It helps to fully implement the project of marxist theory, strengthen and improvethe ideological and political education of college student, prosper and develop the philosophyand social sciences,consolide the marxist guiding status in the institutions of advancedlearning, and push forward the construction of the party’s theory.All in all, it made greatcontributions to the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Today,facingconstantly emerging problems in the transition period of the economy and society, in order tofurther strengthen and improve ideological and political education, it has becomes more andmore difficult to the fuifill the task of discipline construction.The understanding of marxisttheory about discipline construction in colleges and universities is in the exploratory stage,and the level and effectiveness of discipline construction still need us research andresolution.Based on the importance of the marxism theory discipline construction,we have exploredinnovation thoughts and countermeasures of the construction about ideological and politicaleducation. First, after the history of the discipline construction of marxist theory and itsspecification, this paper analyses the significance, and the present situation of the subjectconstruction. Secondly, we also analyze the relationship between marxism theory disciplineconstruction and the reform and innovation of ideological and political education. Finally westate that subject construction can provide solid foundation for the talent and tracing of thetalent team,whie the ideological and political education will provide the theoretical practiceplatform for the development of subject construction.And at last,the reform and innovation ofideological and political education are explored. Strengthening the leadership, forming along-term mechanism, constructing the evaluation system, enhance the level of scientificallytheoretical work, keeping the correct guidance of public view, strengthening the study of Maxist theory, keeping pace with the time, and making sure the healthy development of thecombination of theory and practice, are necessary and helpful.
