Chinese classical poetry is not only a treasure of Chinese culture, but also an important part of Japanese literature. In the education of Chinese schools, classical poetry is seen as "the best media to improve the interest". The education of Chinese classical poetry can lead students to explore the richness of classical poetry and learn the unique culture. Classical poetry of Japanese education which was began from Nara era, opened a prelude to Chinese literature in Japan, but also developed the richness of Japanese native literature. It is still prescribed as compulsory content in today’s Japanese education. Therefore, in this paper, I take Chinese textbooks from primary school to high school, and Japanese high school textbooks as study text, take the poems of two countries school textbooks as a research object, to compare the two countries Poetry education. By comparison study found that there are both the same side, and the different side in classical poems cognition of Chinese and Japanese.The similarities are on the understanding of poet’s life background, images of poems and the ideological content. Such as "fell flower" in Chunxiao is the signify of treasuring the spring. The artistic conception of Jiangxue is quiet and cheerless. The poet of Huang Helou expresses the homesick.The difference is mainly in the cognitive of the ideological content in some poems. In Japanese school education of classical poetry, there are two trends to poet feelings, when understand the theme. The one is diluting the political background of poetry, for example, they think it is not contain satirical meaning in the Spring Of Jiangnan. The other is deepening the impact between poet experience, allusions and poetic language. Such as connecting the underlife-ship of Meng Haoran.In addition, when choosing classical poetry, there are their own characteristics in Chinese and Japanese textbook. About poetry type, Chinese textbooks including classical poems which with4words,5words,7words in every sentence, Ci and Qu. But there are classical poems only in the Japanese textbooks,. Thematically, the textbooks of two counties are included farewell poem, homesickness poem, frontier fortress poem and chanting poem. Chinese textbooks also focus on select poems which are express patriotic feelings of the China, such as Shi Er, which are express lofty sentiments and aspirations of poets, such as Watching Canghai; which describe childlike innocence, such as Town Life. Japanese textbooks have also chosen Chinese poetry which reflect the cultural exchanges between China and Japan, such as Seeing Japanese Buddhist Off, which are often cited in Japanese books, such as Spring Watching; which express fun of underlife, such as Lu Zhai; love poems and classical poems written by Japanese poets.
