It is important to explore the development of children’s creative imagination by manipulating the material. It has been noted that material structure closely relates to the development of children, and material delivery method restricts the creative imagination of young children. Domestic and foreign researchers focus on the effect of material structure and delivery method on children behavior and the development of children’s creative imagination, and they have carried out extensive and in-depth research. However, from the reported literature, firstly, there is few study of preschool children, or the study objectives are not comprehensive; secondly, the research methods almost used the questionnaires, measurement, mapping method, creative approach or some method based on the experience and discussion on relevant theories, therefore, there is few rigorous experimental study and non-system; thirdly, research paid more attention to the material relationship between the structure and delivery methods and children behavior, or the research focused on some observation or related research and education for the creative imagination itself, but the research did not address the basic structure from different materials and delivery method angles and verify the impact of the creative imagination of young children with deep, systematic analysis. In addition, the research findings of some studies are with some controversy and without applicability. Therefore, this study takes a total of72children aged3-6as tested ones, and puts the material structure, delivery method and the age as the experimental factor, and makes the children’s creative imagination be the experimental results, and puts the familiarity, order and other factors for children as non-experimental factors. Then, it knows about the characteristics of creative imagination material through operating activities of young children, and explores the effect of material structure and the delivery method on3-6children creative imagination. In addition, during the operation of young children, it also uses the interview to examine the children’s creative imagination. And it attempts to mining the effect of material structure and delivery method on young children creative through quantitative and qualitative comprehensive analysis. Ultimately, it makes relevant education recommendations based on the experimental results in order to help teachers improve children’s creative imagination in teaching. The main findings of this study:1.There is significant difference between3years old and5year old children in the children’s creative imagination score.4years old children who compared to the other ages has no particularly obvious differences in performance, but in terms of the whole, the development of creative imagination grows with the children’s age. And there are different characteristics of creative imagination at different ages of children.2.Material structure affects the children’s creative imagination. As opposed to the high structural materials, the low structural materials are more conducive to the development of children’s creative imagination. And the low structure materials are with the age-eligibility that the high and middle class can manage it better.3.Delivery method affects the children’s creative imagination. With respect to the high structural delivery method, the low one is more conducive to the development of children’s creative imagination. And the same material can put with high or low structure, which also has different benefits.4.According to the results of quantitative analysis, material structure and delivery method have no interaction on the creative imagination score, but the results show that the low structural materials whit low delivery and high structural materials with high delivery can better promote the development of children’s creative imagination through the comprehensive analysis of the performance of children’s language and work from the material operations.
