Application Of Group Work In Migrant Workers Financial Capability Training

Along with progressively development of industrialization and urbanization, the situation of the rural labor flow in urban areas will exist for a long time, and the number of rural worker population is on the rise. A growing amount of income contributes to an upper standard of urban lifestyles among rural labors, and also, commodity and housing price has increased recently, so Rural-urban migrant workers have intensely demand on financial management. However, these migrant workers have deprived education background; especially lack knowledge of financial control because of narrow channel of information. Therefore, this article uses document analysis method and interview method to deeply recognize the financial status of migrant workers, and also analyze the dilemmas and influencing factors. Moreover, according to the financial needs of rural migrant workers, group work should be created to formulate the plan, and utilize the method to help migrant workers to develop self-confidence and improve financial management ability, so that they could gain upper quality of life through their own efforts. As a result, on the basis of policy advocacy, the article presents the application of social work to improve the ability of rural workers’ financial management.In order to enhance the rural migrant workers’ability of financial management, most previous research focus on Economics, Finance, and Science of social society. Although research based on Sociology has increased lately, very few articles have been written about social work accordingly. Thus, this article intends to provide a newly research perspective for social work, and analyze financial management difficulties aimed at rural work population in cities through group works. Besides, newly approaches and pathway would be proposed for solving rural workers’ problems in this article.
